British Engines has been named as one of The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250. The league table ranks Britain’s private mid-market growth companies who have achieved high growth in profit or sales.
British Engines is one of only seven North East businesses to make it onto the league table, ranking 196th.
Fast Track compile the list and publish it in The Sunday Times each October. The Top Track 250 is now in its 14th year and recognises the success of companies. It focuses on those demonstrating what they can achieve by thinking locally and acting globally, whilst recognising their success.
British Engines sits alongside well-known brands such as: esure, Travelodge, Edinburgh Airport, Birmingham Airport, Trainline, and Holland & Barrett.
The manufacturing and construction sectors feature strongly. Subsequently, 75 companies from the two industries have made it onto the league table.
Of those 250 companies on the list, 59 are family businesses. This includes British Engines. The company has been in operation since 1922; founded by brothers Charles and Harold Lamb.
