What you’ll be doing
The apprenticeship is a 4 year programme specialising in electrical and mechanical engineering. You will work towards achieving a Level 3 Diploma in Maintenance and Operations Engineering through both day release at college and 4 days gaining hands on experience in our manufacturing facilities in Cramlington.
During your apprenticeship you will be supported by experienced mentors who will ensure you are provide with the support and guidance to be successful.
- Learn to install, test, service, remove and repair a range of equipment as part of a complex maintenance programme
- Carry out decommissioning activities i.e. when a machine is being removed from service
- Complete plant commissioning, isolating and testing activities
- Apply a range of conventional skills and knowledge to undertake engineering activities on electromechanical and process control plant, systems and equipment
- Install and modify equipment as required
- Assist in completing root cause analysis of machine breakdowns
Who we’re looking for
To apply, you must have achieved GCSE’s in English and Maths (A*-C/ 9-4) and have a genuine desire to learn and develop within a multi-functional Maintenance role.
We’re looking for someone who has effective time management and problem solving skills, as well as strong communication. You must be a team player, but able to work on your own initiative when needed.
